Being a father isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present.
Your children don’t need a dad who has all the answers. They need a dad who points them to the One who does.
The world tells fathers to provide success, comfort, and opportunities. Those things matter, but the greatest gift you can give your children is a life that shows them what it looks like to follow Christ.
One day your kids may not remember every game, every gift, or every vacation. But they’ll remember how you treated their mother, how you handled adversity, how you prayed, and whether your faith was real when life got hard.
This week, don’t focus on being a perfect father. Focus on being a faithful one.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
