Family is one of God’s greatest gifts, but it’s also one of our greatest responsibilities. It’s easy to get caught up chasing success, checking off tasks, or planning for tomorrow while missing the people God has placed in front of us today.
Our families don’t need a perfect version of us. They need our presence. They need to see our patience, hear our encouragement, and experience the love of Christ through the way we lead and serve at home.
Before you leave for work, before you tee it up, before you dive into another busy week, ask yourself: Am I giving my family what’s left of me, or my best?
This week, put the phone down a little sooner. Pray together. Laugh a little longer. Tell someone you love them. Those small, faithful moments often become the memories that last a lifetime.
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15
