Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’

 1 Corinthians 15:33

Reflection:
The people around us shape us more than we realize. We tend to pick up their habits, adopt their values, and even mirror their vision for life. That’s why Scripture reminds us to walk with the wise and guard against voices that pull us away from God.

Think about it in golf: if you play regularly with someone who constantly cuts corners, complains, or doesn’t care about improving, it rubs off. But when you tee it up with players who challenge you, encourage you, and push you to be better, you raise your game. The same is true in life and faith.

Surround yourself with people who:

  • Push you closer to Christ, not further away.

  • Speak truth even when it’s uncomfortable.

  • Encourage growth instead of settling for comfort.

  • Model humility, discipline, and grace.

Why it matters:
Leadership, character, and faith are not built in isolation. The company you keep will either sharpen your edge or dull it.
