Moment for Monday 1-19-25

Moment for Monday 1-19-25

It’s easy to think "making disciples" is something reserved for pastors, missionaries, or people who know the Bible front to back.

But Jesus didn’t say, “Go and get more knowledgeable.”
He said, “Go and make disciples.”

That means following Him isn’t only about what God is doing in you, it’s also about what He wants to do through you.

Discipleship is simply this: helping someone take their next step toward Jesus.
Not by being impressive. Not by having all the answers.
But by being faithful, present, and intentional.

Jesus didn’t build His movement with a stage. He built it with a table. With walks. With questions. With prayer.

So this week, don’t overcomplicate it. Look around:

  • Who is God already placing in your path?

  • Who needs encouragement, truth, or prayer?

  • Who could you invite into a simple rhythm, coffee, a phone call, a verse, a short study, a walk?

You don’t have to do everything.
Just do something on purpose, with someone.

Because in a world that’s chasing platforms, Jesus is still looking for people who will quietly, courageously invest in others.

Scripture: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”

— Matthew 28:19

Reflection: Who is one person God is putting on your heart to pour into this season?

Prayer: Lord, make me faithful with the people You’ve placed in my life. Give me courage to initiate, humility to listen, and love that points others to You. Help me live in a way that multiplies, so Your name is known and Your kingdom grows. Amen.
