Moment for Monday 11-17-25

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

Ephesians 4:32

Reflection:

Forgiveness isn’t pretending the hurt didn’t happen. It’s releasing the weight that was never meant to define you. When we hold onto bitterness, it anchors our hearts to the past and blinds us to what God wants to do next. But when we forgive, just as Christ forgave us, we move into freedom, clarity, and peace.

You can’t play the next shot well if you’re still angry about the last one. The frustration affects your grip, your tempo, your focus. Life is no different. Unforgiveness keeps you stuck in the shot you can’t change, while grace frees you to play the next one.

Why it matters:

Forgiveness doesn’t excuse what happened, it frees your heart from being shaped by it. When you forgive, you close the door on bitterness and open the door to healing, renewal, and strength God promises to those who trust Him.

Prayer for the week:

Jesus, teach me to forgive as You forgave me, fully, freely, and from the heart. Give me the courage to let go and the grace to move forward in peace. Amen.
