For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3
Reflection:
Jobs change. Seasons shift. Scores go up and down. If our identity is tied to performance, we ride a roller coaster of pride and shame. In Christ, who you are is anchored, chosen, redeemed, adopted, and sent. Golf example: your best round doesn’t make you more beloved, and your worst round can’t make you less. The scoreboard can report a number; it cannot define a son or daughter of God.
Rooted identity produces steady soul, freedom from comparison, courage to risk and fail, and joy that isn’t stolen by a bad bounce or a tough meeting. When you live from who you are in Christ, your work becomes worship, not a verdict.
One-sentence prayer:
Jesus, re-center my heart today, let what I do flow from who I am in You. Amen.
